Resilient Shore: A San Rafael, CA Nonprofit Project


Act as executive director of the nonprofit project to work with the City of San Rafael in secure funding and initiating a stakeholder focused Shore and Watershed Adaptation Plan to reduce maritime and fluvial flood risk and provide sea level rise adaptation and mitigation.


Resilient Shore has emerged as the primary NGO advocate for reduction of flood risk and sea level rise adaptation/mitigation in central San Rafael including the under resourced, predominantly Latinex, Canal Neighborhood. Resilient Shore advocacy for improving daily and emergency access for the Canal and southeast San Rafael includes a proposal for a new I 580 interchange under proof of concept review by Transportation Authority of Marin.
